Myofascial Dry-Needling

Myofascial Dry-Needling
Dry-needle therapy involves the use of sterile, single-use, stainless steel needles which vary from 0.2mm to 0.3mm in thickness, and various lengths depending which areas are treated. The term “dry” refers to the fact that no substance is being injected through the needle.
The needles are inserted through the skin into muscle tissue and often used to treat various musculoskeletal conditions such as tendonitis and muscle trigger-points.
Dry-needling is safe and relatively painless, but sometimes can “trigger” small muscle spasms which is usually momentary. It is often be combined with other therapies such as massage or electrotherapy for maximum benefit.
